When Byron Beach Abodes introduces a new boutique hotel to their mix you know it is going to be something special.
Recently Mr Murdoch and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary and what better way to celebrate than a getaway to a place that we hold so close to our hearts, Byron Bay. After deciding on The Bower Byron Bay we viewed their vast selection of 14 suites that pay homage to the past while staying true to it’s coastal beach side aesthetic that we have come to love and expect from Byron Beach Abodes.
After looking at all our accommodation options we finally booked the ultimate couple retreat The Bower Barn, which is nestled nicely at the rear of the property. This dreamy space features a calming interior palette of black, white and neutral tones and it even comes with your very own skylit bathroom, if you are in the mood to soak in the tub while gazing at the starts above.
The entire experience was flawless, from the text message we received notifying us our accommodation was ready early, to the friendly staff that greeted us upon arrival offering a guided tour of the property and kindly suggesting some exquisite recommendation for dining out. The Bower does not have an in house restaurant but since some of the finest cuisine is only a short walk or bike ride (the bikes are complimentary to guests) it is no big deal. Since Mr Murdoch and I were in the mood to lay low we opted for one of the personalised Bower hampers, which included pumpkin, and goats cheese frittatas and the most amazing tomato salads we have ever had the pleasure of eating. While we sat enjoying our hamper in the comfort of our private courtyard watching the sun go down and listening to the light breeze of the bangalow palms surrounding us, we can’t help but feel this quintessential Byron Bay hotel is the ultimate home away from home.
